Location and Accessibility
Hotel Plus Hostel Tokyo Asakusa 2 is located in the vibrant Asakusa area, which is known for its historical landmarks and bustling streets. The hotel is very close to the metro station, only a 10-minute walk from the elevator exit if you take the Sky-Access line from Narita Airport.
Room
There are two types of rooms to choose from: the normal capsule size and the full-height room, I want with the later one. In terms of room size, the full-height room offers more comfort.
However, the main issue lies in the light and noise isolation. There are inadequate measures in place to ensure a peaceful sleeping environment. The hallway lighting is excessively bright, and as you can see from the image below, there is minimal coverage to block out the light at night. Unfortunately, during my stay, I was frequently disturbed by roommate’s coughing and staff cleaning sound at around 4-5 am.
Amenities
When considering the amenities of this accommodation, there are several notable features. Firstly, the onsen-style bath offers a relaxing and traditional bathing experience. Additionally, there is a common area where guests can gather and socialize.
However, there are tons of negative to consider as well. One drawback is that towels, toothbrushes, and slippers are not provided free of charge, which may require guests to bring their own or purchase them separately. Additionally, the lockers available for storing valuables are quite small and located in the hallway, potentially limiting their convenience. Furthermore, there are no evident security measures in place to ensure the safety of guests’ belongings. While a password lock is installed at the main entrance, the fact that the password is displayed near the number pad raises concerns about the effectiveness of this security measure.
